A celebration of youth, friendship, and the everlasting magic of the movies! A filmmaker recalls his childhood, when he fell in love with the movies at his village’s theater and formed a deep friendship with the theater’s projectionist. The Poppy Jasper Film Festival and Guglielmo Winery invite you to enjoy popcorn and a complimentary glass of Guglielmo wine while watching the classic film, Cinema Paradiso, in its original 16 mm format. This film won the 1990 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and was nominated for the Golden Palm at Cannes in1989. This event is for the benefit of the 5th annual Poppy Jasper Film Festival that runs from November 14-16, 2008. Tickets are $30 per person and includes raffle entry.
